André grew up and went to school in Somerset West on the outskirts of Cape Town. After school, he pursued a photography career, which later led to him running photographic labs before deciding to take to the seas working as a cruise ship photographer.
What was supposed to be a short break ended up spanning ten years and several trips around the world. Managing teams of photographers on the cruise liners honed André’s leadership skills to the point where he led some of the most successful photographic teams in the industry. It’s also while working on cruise ships that André met his Polish wife, Kat.
Returning to South Africa in 2012, Kat and André launched their video production studio in Somerset West. It was also at this time that André became a member of BNI. By 2017, having fulfilled many leadership positions at the chapter and regional level, André bought the BNI Winelands region. Three years later, in 2020, he bought BNI Cape Town North.
As the Executive Director of the BNI Cape Town North and Winelands regions, André represented South Africa during a four-year term in one of BNI’s inclusive global advisory groups, The Founders Circle. Exchanging ideas to take BNI members’ experiences to the next level.
André's deep-seated passion for people and their potential ignites his vision for BNI Cape Town North & Winelands. Witnessing individuals blossom and unlock their professional success fuels his drive to empower over 1,000 entrepreneurs to flourish. He believes in developing individuals, not just businesses, by cultivating mindsets capable of turning dreams into tangible realities.
Something very few people know about André is that in his early 20s, he taught Latin American and ballroom dancing.
